SMHS Students to Conduct Annual World Record-Setting Food Drive

LOgo SMHS Strikes Back Against HungerSan Mateo High School (SMHS) students are conducting their annual holiday food drive through November 27, 2017. The students’ goal this year will be to collect more than 100,000 pounds and continue their tradition of being one of the largest food drives in the country.  All donations will benefit the Samaritan House in San Mateo and Second Harvest Food Bank. This year’s campaign theme is “Can Wars: San Mateo High School 2017 Food Drive.” Community members who wish to donate may bring their canned food or monetary donations directly to San Mateo High School, located at 506 N. Delaware Street, San Mateo, weekdays from 7:45am - 3:15pm. You can also donate HERE. Monetary donations are tax-deductible and checks should be made out to “Samaritan House.” (An online donation link will be available soon.) Also, during after-school hours and weekends, students will be collecting donations at local supermarkets throughout the Peninsula from Burlingame to Belmont! Please help San Mateo High continue their tradition of helping people in need this holiday season!
