COLLEGE & CAREER FAIR PLANNED FOR SAN MATEO UNION HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT

The San Mateo Union High School District annual College & Career Fair will be Thursday, October 24, 2013 at Mills High School. 

The evening consists of:

· More than 100 colleges and universities will be available to talk to prospective students and their parents.

· Large group presentations explaining the California State University system, the University of California system and the California Independent University   system.

· Workshop called “The Community College Connection.”

· A College and EOPS presentation in Spanish.

· Workshops on Financial Aid and Loan Programs for college.

· Special programs information such as Career and Technical Occupational, EOPS, SMUHSD’s Middle College program for high school students, the SMUHSD programs in Career and Technical Education, accredited career training schools as well as Apprenticeship and Trade Organizations.

The event is free and open to the public.

Students and parents will be able to collect information on application procedures, special programs, major requirements, expenses, social and cultural activities and housing.
