Enrollment Procedures and Requirements for Incoming 9th Grade Students

Students will be assigned to a high school according to your family`s current residence within the District. We strongly encourage all students to attend their assigned school. Students who reside in the District and who plan to attend their assigned school will automatically be included in the Orientation conducted by the high school counselors at the intermediate schools in the spring.
You will need to enroll your student prior to their programming.

Proof of Residence. The Governing Board has implemented a policy requiring that all incoming ninth grade students and students new to the high school District must provide proof of residence in the District, in order to receive a Permit to Register. The materials required for proof of residence are listed in the District Enrollment Procedures letter or on the District website. This must be done at the Enrollment Centers listed below. (PROOF OF RESIDENCE PROCEDURES WILL BE HANDLED AT THE DISTRICT OFFICE AFTER MARCH 7, 2008. (Hours after March 7, 2008 through April 25, 2008 will be 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.)

You are required to provide the following items to verify Proof of Residency
If you are a Homeowner:
1. One of the following:
- Deed of Trust
- Current Property Tax Bill
- Escrow Letter - (closing or Final)
- Current tax assessment card -(showing ownership by the parent or legal guardian of the child.)
2. And a current paid utility bill
3. And the enrolling student's
- Birth Certificate OR Passport
- Current Immunizations
- Latest Progress Report or Official Transcript
If you are a Renter
1. Lease/rental agreement -(with name and phone number of owner & property manager.)
2. And a current paid utility bill
3. And the enrolling student's
- Birth Certificate OR Passport
- Current Immunizations
- Latest Progress Report or Official Transcript

Student/Parent Nights. Beginning at 7:00 p.m., these evenings are planned to enhance your understanding of the programs at each of the schools within the District. Please visit your assigned school where faculty and staff will make brief presentations and attempt to answer any questions you may have. Of course, you are welcome to visit other schools in the District that your student may be interested in attending.
