PAHS Recognizes and Celebrates 45 Students for Their Achievements

PAHS Students Earn High Marks!
Congratulations to all of the Peninsula Alternative High School (PAHS) students who received awards for their achievements during the first trimester of the 2016-2017 school year!  At the PAHS Community Awards Night in November, more than 65 staff, students, family and community members gathered to celebrate. Forty-five students were recognized with 68 awards, including 22 nominated by teachers for academics, eight for attendance, three for high honors (4.0 GPA), 13 for honor roll (3.5+ GPA), 21 for merit roll (3.0+ GPA), and one student-nominated award for Accountability. Congratulations to all Pumas! Proud parents spoke with pride over their students’ accomplishments and thanked the school staff. Thank you to PAHS school staff for their hard work, not only in teaching and supporting our students and families, but also for helping to create this glorious evening, helping with setup, cooking, creating awards, outreach, presenting, and clean-up! The next Community Night event will be on Thursday, December 15th at 6pm at PAHS Community Wellness Center. Dinner will be served and everyone is welcome! More information will be posted on the Peninsula High school website soon.
