Four District Grads to Enter Peninsula Sports Hall of Fame

iStock Hall of FameFour District alumni will be inducted into the Peninsula Sports Hall of Fame during ceremonies April 13 at the Westin SFO Hotel in Millbrae. They are:

  • Nick Pappageorge, a Mills High School basketball player who starred at St. Mary’s College.
  • Jimmie Pryor, an Aragon High School multi-sport athlete who played football at the University of Utah.
  • Adam Tafralis, a Mills High School football standout who set offensive records at San Jose State University.
  • Jerry Wilkinson, a San Mateo High School football player who went on to play at Oregon State University and in the NFL.

The local Hall of Fame induction banquet is presented each year by the San Mateo County/Silicon Valley Convention and Visitors Bureau. Since its inaugural year in 1989, the Hall of Fame has embraced more than 250 Peninsula sports figures. The Hall of Fame is located at the San Mateo County History Museum in downtown Redwood City.
