A Community Panel: An Honest Discussion about Teen Stress, Anxiety & Depression

iStock Sad Teen"An Honest Discussion about Teen Stress, Anxiety & Depression" is a free community event and panel discussion for parents and community members. It will offer honest insight into one family's challenges as a teen struggles with mental health issues from her freshmen year into her senior year in high school. Panelists will also offer tips on how to handle teens and everyday stress, and when to determine if outside help may or may not be needed.

The panel will be moderated by Mary McGrath, SMUHSD Manager of Mental Health Program. Panelists include Dr. Steve Sust, Stanford child psychiatrist; a Mills High School parent; Stephanie Weisner, Director of the Department of Wellness and Recovery at StarVista; and Rebecca Bucher, Health & Wellness Coordinator at Mills High School.
