March is National Athletic Training Month. Take a Moment to Thank Your Athletic Trainer!

Logo - National Athletic Training MonthMarch is National Athletic Training Month. An Athletic Trainer is a healthcare professional that provides for the safety and well being of the athletes and general population. The SMUHSD employs an athletic trainer at each of its six comprehensive high schools. This years slogan is "Your Protection is Our Priority."  Athletic Trainers provide:

  • Prevention of Injuries
  • Recognition, evaluation, and aggressive treatment
  • Rehabilitation
  • Health care administration
  • Education and guidance

During this month of March, please take the time to thank your athletic trainer for the services that they provide to our schools.  March may be National Athletic Training Month, but know that they are there for you throughout the school year!
