BHS Student Chosen to Represent California at National Youth Science Camp

Isabela IsayIsabela Acenas from Burlingame High School was selected to be one of the two delegates to represent California at National Youth Science Camp (NYSC). She is a Bio-Rad Laboratories Scholar, Professional Businesswomen of California Scholar, Bay Area Jefferson Awardee, Asian and Pacific Islander Hero, CBS 5 News’ Unsung Hero, Presidential Research Scholar, Dean’s Scholar and has been awarded a full ride to New York University! She will be majoring in Earth Science and plans on bringing Earth Science education to indigenous farming communities in Southeast Asia and the Pacific Islands. Congratulations Isay!
