San Mateo High Goes to D.C. to Receive Jefferson Award

Sara Cowey, Vida Wadhams and Mari Rossi
Teacher Sara Cowey, and students Vida Wadhams and Mari Rossi attended the National Jefferson Awards Ceremony as the Jefferson Award winners. During this time they spoke at the reception breakfast, discussing the Students in Action Program at San Mateo High School. They appreciated the opportunity to visit Kamala Harris's office and received recognition for their own work and the achievement of the school in the area of community service. They particularly appreciated the opportunity to hear so many stories of dedicated people from across the country. Way to go Bearcats! Congratulations!
