Cohorting and Phases for Return
-
Current enrollment is 1523 students.
In an effort to reduce the volume of students on campus each day to below 30% of total students, cohorting will consist of two student groups. In configuration, students will have the choice to ‘OPT-IN’ to in-person instruction or remain virtual synchronous learning. Students opting in will be placed on an ‘A’ or ‘B’ rotation. Students choosing to continue their virtual synchronous learning will be placed in the ‘C’ rotation.
In-Person Phase 1:
This Phase includes specialized programs that serve students with disabilities and complex learning and support needs. These students require in-person learning to access their education. The class size in the programs are small, ranging from 5 to 16 number of students. Additionally, the student to staff ratio is quite small which allows for the unique needs of the students to be met. Plans will include individualized schedules, and ways to ensure that students with disabilities can be served with considerations for safety and access to in-person instruction and the critical social emotional, mental health, social skills, and access to peers. This Phase in accordance with Small Setting Cohort Guidance also includes targeted support services and facilitation of distance learning in small group environments.
- Staff: up to 40 staff members on campus daily
- Students: Less than 10% of total enrollment
- Specialized Programs: AAC and ATC 53 total students
- Cohorting: 14:1 or smaller based on student assessment
- Targeted Support Services: currently 2 pods

- Cohorting: 14:1 or dependent on classroom space/size
In-Person Phase 3:
In an effort to reduce the volume of students on campus each day to below 30% of total students, cohorting will consist of two student groups. In configuration, students will have the choice to ‘OPT-IN’ to in-person instruction or remain virtual synchronous learning. Students opting in will be placed on an ‘A’ or ‘B’ rotation. Students choosing to continue their virtual synchronous learning will be placed in the ‘C’ rotation. All students who opt for in-person instruction will return to campus through a hybrid A/B Cohorts instructional schedule. See Phases for Return Description in appendix for detail.

In-Person Phase 4 (Updated April 14, 2021)
In an effort to reduce the volume of students on campus each day to up to 50% of total school enrollment, cohorting will increase to consist of three student groups. Students choosing to continue their virtual synchronous learning will be placed in the ‘D’ rotation.
