As an English Language Development teacher, I use curriculum to engage my students in courageous conversations about race that lead to critical consciousness regarding social justice. I started my teaching career in 1997 and have been at Hillsdale since 2007. In addition to teaching, I have been the executive director of a non-profit organization, the managing director of a workforce development company, and an elected city commissioner.
