HAP-Y is paid volunteer opportunity for youth, ages 16-24, who are interested in learning more about topics relating to mental health wellness. Training is provided. If you complete the program, you are eligible to earn a $700 allowance.

MILLS - PENINSULA MEDICAL CENTER

    Open to High School students ages 14-17 who are interested in becoming a Mills-Peninsula Health Services Volunteer.
    Ideal candidates are students who have a sense of service to their community, can function in a complex health care environment independently, and are able to follow instructions. Youth volunteers must be able to interact well with patients of all ages and have a willingness to help. Commitment Expectations: Mills-Peninsula Health Services asks a ONE- year commitment to the Youth Volunteer program, which involves a minimum of one 3-4 hour shift every week. Youth volunteers must complete an online application and submit consent forms signed by a parent/guardian and also by an academic counselor.

Three 4 hour weekday shifts, 12 hours a week for 8 weeks.
