Community College Overview

  • Community College applications and class schedules are available in the Career Center. We encourage all graduating high school seniors who plan to attend a community college to participate in the Priority Enrollment Program (PEP). This unique program is designed for seniors to provide an easy transition from high school to college. Seniors completing the Priority Enrollment Program  will have first priority when registering for fall classes, complete placement exams, orientation program and receive a one-on-one counseling appointment. Sign up for Priority Enrollment Program orientation and placement testing starting in February at:

    Canada College: www.canadacollege.edu/admissions/
    College of San Mateo: http://www.collegeofsanmateo.edu/PEP/
    Skyline College: http://www.skylinecollege.edu/outreach/pep.php

Associate Degree or Transfer

  • Earn priority admission to the California State University with junior standing once you earn an Associate Degree for Transfer (AA-T or AS-T) at a California community college. The new joint transfer program is the best path for students who want to transfer between the two college systems. Complete 60 units at a California community college to receive your AA-T or AS-T, then complete 60 units at a California State University to receive your bachelor’s degree.
