Afternoon At The Opera Spring 2018

Discover the lyrical beauty, drama, and flights of romance and fantasy that have delighted opera lovers since the end of the sixteenth century! Opera distills all that is human desire and through music and song into a musical experience that transcends both time and the spoken language, and communicates the joys and sorrows of the human condition. During this course, we will prepare for four LIVE broadcasts from the Metropolitan Opera in New York City, explore a stunning Baroque opera, and delight in an overview of Broadway musical theater. Opera novices welcome!
