Math and Reading Inventory Placement Assessment
The San Mateo Union High School District Welcomes You to High School Testing for New Freshmen Class of 2019-2020
Eighth grade students who plan to attend school in the San Mateo Union High School District will be meeting with guidance staff to choose classes for the ninth grade year at Aragon, Burlingame, Capuchino, Hillsdale, Mills or San Mateo High School. The SMUHSD has adopted the Houghlin Mifflin Harcourt Reading Inventory (RI) and the Math Inventory (MI) as placement tests.
Guidance staff will use these results along with transcripts and results from the 7th grade California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (if it was taken among public school students) to help advise parents and students regarding course choices. All incoming ninth-graders must be tested.
