The San Mateo High School Latino Family Group meets once a month from 6:30 to 8:00 PM in the school library. The meetings are entirely in Spanish.

The Boards not only inform our families of school events but also serve as a way for them to meet other Latino families from San Mateo High School.

Some of the topics covered include: "How to support our children in school,"  "Teens and the internet," academics, community resources, school rules, mental health issues, among others.

Latinos Unidos is the first Latino Family committee in San Mateo High School. The purpose of this group is to heighten the Hispanic culture in San Mateo High School while integrating our families into the larger community of our school. This group is led by parents and guardians dedicated to the growth  and success of our community and students in SMHS. To be a part of this growing committee, or to become a volunteer for our activities, please contact Sandra Gluschankoff, Family Engagement Coordinator at SMHS, and she will connect you with members of the committee.
