Facilities Master Plan
SMUHSD has embarked on a Facilities Master Plan (FMP) - our comprehensive, long-term roadmap that guides decisions about maintaining, modernizing, expanding, and funding school facilities to support the district’s educational mission and student needs. The plan evaluates the condition of buildings and infrastructure, analyzes enrollment trends and campus capacity, identifies deferred maintenance and modernization needs, prioritizes capital improvement projects, and provides cost estimates and implementation timelines. Our FMP is important following the passage of Proposition 2 (2024), which authorized $8.5 billion in state school facility bond funding for K-12 schools, to support modernization, repairs, new construction, career technical education facilities, and health and safety improvements.
