2019-2020 Programming Information

  • Counselors are visiting students at Bowdith, Borel, Bayside and Abbott the first week of March to distribute information.  If your student does not attend those schools, you're welcome to collect the information from the counseling office at Hillsdale starting March 4th.  New students transferring in to 10th, 11th or 12th grade are welcome to attend programming nights too!

    (Can you believe your child will be in high school next year?!)

    Please come join other parents and learn more about the school.  In particular:

    • Meet members of the high school community - Current parents, teachers and administrators
    • Learn about what awaits your chils as they enter high school, and a chance to ask questions you may have
    • Understand thwat makes Hillsdale special - Small Learning Communities, Houses and Advisory
    • Find out about Hillsdale HIgh school Foundation and ways you can be involved in supporting our amazing school

    Feel free to attend any session that makes sense for your schedule! It should run about an hour. Se habla espanol.

Enrollment Process

  • When may families begin enrolling for the 2018-2019 school year?

    SMUHSD will be accepting enrollments for the 2018-2019 school year on December 5, 2017, at the Office of Student Services located at 839 Hinckley, Burlingame.

    What is the Priority 1 Enrollment window?

    Priority 1 Enrollment Window opens 8:30 AM on December 5, 2017 and closes 11:59 PM February 16, 2018. Students who have completed the residency verification and on-line enrollment form during the Priority 1 Enrollment Window will be eligible to:

    • Receive priority assignment to their school of residence
    • Apply for a Sibling Transfer to another school within the District
    • Apply for an Intra-District Transfer to a non-resident school within the District 

    Priority Enrollment Hours:

    Regular Office Hours: 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Thursday (Lunch 12:00 to 1:00 PM), Friday 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM (noon)
    Extended Hours: 8:30 AM to 7:00 PM on Wednesdays from January 10, 17, 24, 31.
    Saturday Hours: 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM January 27

    HOW TO ENROLL

    Make an appointment

    Call the District Office at 650-558-2251 to schedule an appointment.  Scheduling an appointment will begin on November 6, 2017.
    *Appointments are not required; however, they are strongly recommended.  Walk-in appointments will be served after families with appointments.

    Gather Your Information

    All families will need to provide documentation. For a list of documents needed for enrollment click on "Proof of Residency". 

    Bring the proof of residency and additional registration documents to the enrollment appointment.  After providing proof of residency, families will be given a personalized ‘snapcode’ that will allow access to the District’s on-line enrollment system.  

    Once the residency verification and enrollment process is complete student’s are eligible to participate in high school programming.

    Students residing in a Shared Residence or with a Caregiver must submit notarized copies of the Shared Residency and/or Caregiver Affidavits, in addition to the above documents.  These forms are also available at the Office of Student Services or on-line at www.smuhsd.org.  Both documents must be notarized.
