During the week of September 16th, Hillsdale will run a lottery and notify families who have gotten a shadow date prior to Friday, September 20th.

The Shadowing Program pairs 8th graders with a Hillsdale leadership student so that they can visit multiple classes, meet faculty, learn about Hillsdale, and participate in some of Hillsdale's daily activities. We make every effort to pair your student with someone with shared interests; however, given the number of students shadowing, we cannot make any guarantees. Students can anticipate being on campus from 7:45 until approximately 12:30.

On the shadow day, students will...

    • be paired with a leadership student
    • get an overview of our school’s program
    • get a tour of the school
    • meet with a school administrator
    • sit in on classes
    • participate in lunchtime activities - visiting students may bring their own lunch or purchase one here
    • debrief the day’s activities; parent pick-up at 12:30pm from 31st Ave Parking Lot

The visiting students will be met by our trained leadership students at the 31st Ave. parking lot (next to the Little Theater).  Look for students dressed in Red and Blue for directions to the cafeteria.  After drop-off, parents are invited to join the PTSO for a Welcome Coffee and Parent Meeting starting in the cafeteria at 7:45AM to 9:00AM.  Parents will meet with a school administrator, get an overview of the school’s program and learn more about extra-curricular opportunities at Hillsdale.  Most parents leave after the parent meeting and return at 12:30pm to pick-up their student.

    Incoming Family Night
    October 30th, 2019
Hillsdale Auditorium (enter from 31st avenue)

Hillsdale understands the big transition from middle school to high school for both students and their families.  We encourage all families and students to come visit our campus to hear about our school, our academic programs, our extra curricular activites and to meet staff, students, and other Hillsdale families.
