I am a local girl, having grown up in the area and have undergraduate and graduate degrees from Stanford. I have spent my professional life in education at the college, high school and middle school levels. I have mostly taught English at the high school level (10 years of which have been at Hillsdale). I tend to take a year off from education every few years and during my last leave of absence, I discovered the world of college admissions & career counseling. After I received my certificate in college & career counseling, I worked with my upper division English students at Hillsdale at an informal level and eventually became the College, Career, and Financial Aid Advisor when the position became available. In my spare time, my family camps around the country (of course stopping off at the local colleges along the way!)
