Board Unanimously Votes to Relocate Peninsula High To New Central Burlingame "Home"

  • At the December 13th meeting, the San Mateo High School Union District Board of Trustees unanimously supported the idea of relocating Peninsula High to a new central location in Burlingame. For more than 10 years, the San Mateo Union High School District has been looking for a location for Peninsula High that would enable students to more easily access their high school. Finding a new central location for Peninsula High also opens up opportunities to further explore and create employee housing so that our staff and teachers can better serve our students. There is much work to be done to make this a reality, but it's exciting progress. The District Office team leading the effort will soon be gathering with Peninsula High staff to start to envision the kinds of space needed to provide Peninsula High students the learning experiences they need.
