Introduction from the Principal
-
August 2023
Dear Burlingame Students & Families,
Welcome to the Panther Class of 2027. On behalf of the administration (returning Assistant Principals Ms. Malcolm & Ms. Gibson; new Assistant Principal, Ms. Bioski-Simon), I wish you a great start to the 2023-2024 school year.
Students return before August 16th for the first day of school, at Panther Prep Registration Days on Friday, August 11th for 9th graders and Tuesday, August 15th for 10th - 12th graders. Refer to Panther Prep Details.
Incoming 9th graders will also participate in Freshmen Orientation led by our ASB and Leadership classes at 8am on August 11th. Start adjusting your bedtime routines to get back on a school schedule.
This is a WASC Accreditation Year for all schools in San Mateo Union High School District, which means our school community will be undergoing a self-study to articulate our outstanding programming and determine how best to meet student needs.
Refer to our Bell Schedule for which periods meet on which days, as well as special schedules and no school days. For the first three days of school, students will attend all of their classes, periods 1-7, and build community with their peers and teachers.
Consistent with SMUHSD’s goal for the year, I am asking students to join me in the theme of TEAMWORK. How can we all hold one another accountable to being good citizens in a collaborative environment at BHS? Be upstanders-say something if you see someone making a racist or inappropriate comment. And please everyone, clean up after yourselves in the classroom and quad.
Please plan to attend Panther Prep Registration Days according to your grade level:
