Common Application & Naviance
-
Please watch this video to learn how to match your Common Application with Naviance
Things to Keep in Mind:
- FERPA Waiver. Complete the waiver and waive your rights! Sounds scary but it must be done for Aragon to send your letter of recommendation and transcripts. If you do not waive your rights, we cannot send out the required documents for you. Please read the instructions in the FERPA Waiver link.
- All colleges must be listed in your Naviance as "Colleges I Am Applying To"
Applications for the UCs, CSUs, Community Colleges, colleges that use the Coalition application and any school that does not use the Common Application (many out of state public schools) will need to be completed separately through the college's application website.
Letter of Recommendations
-
Are you applying to private schools and need a letter of recommendation (LOR) from a counselor? In state and out of state public schools DO NOT need and do not ask for a LOR.
Please notify Ms. Tezak that you need a LOR. She will then direct you to personally ask a counselor if they can write your LOR.
Once you have checked in with Ms. Tezak and asked a counselor to write your LOR, follow these steps:
- Log into Naviance.
- Click “Continue With Clever” to log in. Now you’re in!
- You will see your Dashboard - About Me
- Scroll down to My Surveys > Surveys Not Completed
- Click on Counselor of Letter of Recommendation
When you are done, please inform Mrs. Tezak.
