Incoming 9th Graders
The San Mateo Union High School District would like to welcome all incoming 9th graders! High School is the next big step in your student's academic career, and we want to make the experience as easy and fluid as possible. As a district, our team does everything within our power to help incoming 9th graders adjust to this new chapter in their life and aid in the smooth transition.
Testing for Compressed Math Course Sequence for the 2024-2025 School Year
Eighth grade students who plan to attend school at Aragon or Burlingame and have taken Algebra 1 have the option of taking a compressed math course sequence, which is a “3-years-in-2-years” program including Geometry, Algebra 2, and Pre-Calculus.
Only incoming ninth-graders interested in the Aragon or Burlingame Comp Math course sequence will be tested. Students must be pre-enrolled (or have an appointment to enroll with Student Services) prior to taking the test.
