Parent Teacher Organizations

Each of the six comprehensive high schools has an active Parent Teacher Organization group.  The Parent Teacher Organization is the official parent organization and provides both general and specific support to the schools.  The work of parents/guardians through the schools’ Parent Teacher Organization’s is so important.  Parent Teacher Organization activities demonstrate to our students that adults in the school community are united in promoting their health and well-being.

The individual school’s Parent Teacher Organization’s can be reached through their websites.

Parent President Council

In addition to the school Parent Teacher Organization’s, the superintendent and other district staff meet with each of the school’s Parent Teacher Organization presidents, including the Parent Teacher Organization presidents of partner middle schools on one Monday evening of each month.  These Parent President Council meetings provide an excellent opportunity for district leadership to communicate with parents and to learn some of the issues school communities are facing.  They also give the superintendent a chance to bounce ideas off informed parents as programs and initiatives are in their early formation.
