StarVista’s 24/7 crisis hotline offers a free, safe, confidential place for people to explore feelings, vent frustrations, clarify problems and learn about referrals. Trained crisis counselors treat callers with empathy and compassion. They can provide referrals for community resources and services.

Teen Crisis Services
Teen Crisis Services Chat and text line is a free, peer-to-peer service that is accessible at sanmatecrisis.org or texting 650-747-6463.
Teens can chat confidentially with trained youth peer counselors under Crisis Center staff supervision about various topics. While mainly focused on crisis intervention and suicide prevention, teens can also chat about school, stress, relationships, and mental health challenges. While the program is intended to focus on youth ages 13 and up, no youth will be turned away on the basis of age.

The Child & Adolescent Hotline and Prevention Program (CAHPP) is a hotline that is available 24/7 for parents of children of all ages (0-18), as well as educators, counselors, doctors, coaches, and members of the community. CAHPP’s licensed clinicians respond to callers and texters with questions regarding a child who may be having difficulty reaching developmental milestones or is exhibiting concerning and/or unusual behavior; for example, a child who is easily frustrated or discouraged; inattentive; a loner or excessively shy; constantly seeking attention; or noncompliant.
