Summer 2025 District/School Contacts and Construction Impact

Please see below for information about Summer office hours for the District Office and school sites. Specific information about construction that will impact the public's access to the high schools can be found on the Construction Updates web page.  

District Office

Please note: Starting June 2 through mid July, the District Office parking lot will have limited space due to a construction project. Visitors can use the San Mateo High School parking lot, located behind the San Mateo Performing Arts Center, during this time. 

SMUHSD’s Student Services Department will be open during the summer to support parents/guardians with enrollment. The modified summer schedule is as follows: 

June: 
Monday–Thursday, 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. 
Friday, 9:00 a.m. -12 p.m.

July:
Monday–Thursday, 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Fridays: Closed to the public; staff available remotely via email: enrollment@smuhsd.org

Starting August 4:
Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Aragon

The Aragon campus will be closed for the Summer due to various ongoing construction projects. We anticipate the campus will reopen on August 1. Please see below for staff contacts during this time:   

Bridge Academy

Please contact Bridge Academy Principal Samia Shoman at 650-558-2172 if you have questions regarding Bridge Academy.

The Bridge Academy office will be closed June 16 - July 20.  

Burlingame

The BHS campus will be undergoing significant renovation over the summer. Contractors will continue the work on the new gym and certain areas of the main buildings will be closed for other projects/construction during the summer. Please respect all posted signs when visiting the campus. The main buildings will remain open through the construction and continue to service student needs. Visit the BHS website for specific information on office hours etc. 

Capuchino

During Summer, the main office will be open Monday - Thursdays, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. 

Hillsdale

From June 9 - August 6, summer campus hours are Monday - Thursday, 8 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Some offices will be moving due to construction but there will be signage.

Middle College

The Middle College Office is closed from May 26 - August 1, but members of the public can reach out to Middle College Program Assistant Jordana Garcia with any questions at jgarcia@smuhsd.org.

Mills

Summer Office Hours are Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. -  3:30 p.m.

The main office will be closed to the public June 30 - July 4. 

Peninsula: TBD

San Mateo

During the Summer, the SMHS Main office will be open Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 3 p.m.

The main office will be closed June 30 - July 8. 

Solar panel installation on the back side of the new Training Complex starts June 2, so no through traffic from Poplar (Adult School) to Delaware.  The area by the tennis courts is closed to traffic.
