Assessment
Multilingual Learner students are assessed for progress several times throughout the school year, one of which is the annual English Language Proficiency Assessment for California.
Students take the Reading Inventory to measure reading growth. In English Language Development, all teachers use common district writing assessments three times a year to measure growth.
At the beginning of the year, assessments help validate student placement in the correct program.
At the end of the first semester and at the end of the second semester, assessment results help determine if students are ready for the next level of English Language Development.
