2026 Summer School Information

Credit Repair/Acceleration Program

Focus: All students who need to repeat a course in which they received a D or F previously OR students looking to get ahead in Mathematics with Summer Accelerated Geometry.

Please note: ALL CLASSES will be in person every day, with NO remote sessions at all.

  • Two sessions are being offered:
    • Session 1: June 3-June 18, 2026 

    • Session 2: June 22 - July 8, 2026  (Except for holidays)

  • Monday - Friday (except for holidays): 8:30 a.m. -12:50 p.m.
  • Location: San Mateo High School
  • Class style: Teacher-led 
  • Credits per session: 5 

Multilingual Learner Summer School 

Focus: All students in the Newcomer Program who need to repeat a course in which they received an F previously. Students in grades 11-12 will be prioritized for course advancement needed to graduate on time

  • One session is being offered: June 3 - July 2, 2026
  • Monday - Friday (except for holidays): 8:30 a.m. -12:50 p.m.
  • Location: Peninsula High School (Burlingame)
  • All classes are in person. 
  • Credits per course: 5 

In-Person Extended School Year Summer School 

Focus: Eligible students with IEPS currently enrolled in Bay Academy (9-12 grades), Bay University (Adult transition age) or  Therapeutic Elective Classrooms (TEC)

  • One session is being offered: June 2 - June 29, 2026 (No school June 19) 
  • Monday - Friday (except for holidays): 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
  • Location: San Mateo High School

 

Non-Grad Senior Summer School

Focus: Non-graduating seniors (2026) within 15 credits of 220)

  • One session is being offered: June 3-June 18, 2026
  • Monday - Friday (except for holidays): 8:30 a.m. - 12:50 p.m.
  • Location: San Mateo High School 
  • Courses offered: All appropriate credit recovery courses needed for graduation, Eng 4 F and S, Government, Economics, Others as needed
  • Class style: Virtual Independent Learning
  • Credits per course: 5
