    TAI CHI 101: BEGINNING TAI CHI ZUNGU CHEN FAMILY TAIJI

    In this beginning class you will learn six basic postures, step by step. Class starts off with gentle warm up and balance exercises and then taiji postures. Under the skilled and supportive instruction of Debbie Au, you will learn and practice these beneficial postures to improve coordination, support better balance responses, benefit joint mobility and increase overall agility. In clinical studies Taiji has also been shown to decrease stress levels. Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes, no sandals. Guest passes accepted.

    TAI CHI 101 BEGINNERS  INTENSIVE (10-week)

    In this beginning class students will learn basic postures, step by step in a supportive small group setting.  Students will receive individualized attention. Emphasis is placed on posture, coordination and balance. Class is limited to 14 students. We begin with warm up and balance exercises and then the taiji postures.  You will learn and practice these beneficial postures to improve coordination, support better balance responses, benefit joint mobility and increase overall agility. Wear comfortable clothing and shoes. Guest Passes are not accepted for this class. Prerequisite: Must be between 50 and 65 years old, have good balance and no physical constraints.  Must be self-motivated to practice the postures at home. Guest passes not accepted for this class

    TAI CHI 102 INTENSIVE  (10-week) Continuing Zunga Chen Family Taiji

    This class is a continuation of the Zungu Chen Family Taijiquan (Lao Jia) First Form, in a supportive limited class-sized environment. Each student will receive individualized attention.  Emphasis is placed on posture and balance. Class limited to 15 students. Prerequisite: Beginning Zungu Chen Family Taiji 101 (ability to perform the 6-posture sequence) and instructor’s permission.  Debbie Au is a certified Chen Taiji instructor of direct Chen Family Taiji lineage by Chen Qingzhou. She has many years experience teaching Taiji to persons of varying ages and abilities. Wear comfortable clothing and shoes. Guest Passes are not accepted for this class.

Prequisites: Beginning Zungu Chen Family Taiji 101 and 102 (ability to perform sequence from beginning posture to posture 15 Buddha’s Warrior Pounds Mortar) and instructor’s permission. Wear comfortable clothing and shoes. Guest passes not accepted for this class.
