District Football Players Honored by Media Outlets

Ten San Mateo Union High School District varsity football players have been honored for their accomplishments during the 2018 season by local media outlets.

The Bay Area Newspaper Group named Burlingame High’s Noa Lavulo, a defensive lineman, as a third team all-Bay Area selection.

Teammates Lucas Meredith (a running back), Dylan Neeley (a defensive lineman), Taylor Kaufman (a kicker) and Curtis Lauti (a utility player) were named to the Bay Area News Group's honorable mention list.

Other honorable mention District athletes noted by the Bay Area News Group were: Capuchino High’s Brandon Mailangi (a defensive back) and Aragon High’s Paul Lautaimi (a running back), Liam Laughlin (an offensive lineman), Kenneth Fehoko (a defensive lineman) and Camron Grant (a linebacker).

In addition, the San Francisco Chronicle cited Burlingame’s Lavulo, Meredith and Neeley, Aragon’s Fehoko and Lautaimi and Capuchino’s Mailangi as honorable mention selections on the newspaper’s all-Peninsula team.
