Free Eye Exams Event Coming Up - Parent/Guardian Consent Required
A vision screening was recently given at your child's school, indicating that your child may have difficulty seeing.
Vision To Learn, a mobile eye clinic that provides free eye exams and free eyeglasses, is coming to your school February 19, and February 21-22 and can help your child's vision.
Since 80% of children's learning is obtained through vision, when children can see well they can be more successful at school.
Here's how the program works:
- Send your signed consent form back to school/organization, giving Vision To Learn permission to examine your child's eyes.
- The Vision To Learn mobile clinic will arrive at the school and a representative will take your child to our bus to be examined by an Optometrist and Optician
- If needed, the doctor will prescribe the correct eyeglasses lens for your child. Children choose frames they like and get fitted for glasses.
- Children choose frames they like and get fitted for glasses.
- In 2-3 weeks, eye care professionals will return to the school/organization to deliver your child's eyeglasses and make sure they fit correctly.
