We are Hiring Teachers

Peninsula High School is Seeking Educators for Fall 2024-2025

Peninsula High School is an alternative high school in the San Mateo Union High School District and teaching here is a unique opportunity for someone who is interested in being a part of a culture of caring and engagement, with our students and their families. Innovative, vibrant teachers who aren’t afraid to try something different and new are the key to supporting successful students at Peninsula.

We are looking for EDUCATORS whose passion is inspiring our students to be passionate about life after high school - whatever that might be - college, community college, trade school or joining the workforce.

Small Student Population

With a student population of about 150, working at Peninsula High School gives you the unique opportunity to make meaningful and impactful connections with every student.

Working Together to Recognize the Whole Student

We are proud of the socio-emotional learning opportunities we offer our students, whether it be mediation, restorative justice practices, individual and/or group counseling, support groups and more. Our two wellness counselors, social worker, school counselor and career counselor all work together to support teachers in their efforts to get students across the finish line to graduation and their success beyond.

Communicating with Families

At Peninsula, we value strong communicators. We believe in making positive connections with parents and guardians to support students through both successes and challenges!
