The Economics course is designed to introduce students to the basic concepts of both microeconomics and macroeconomics. It provides students with the vocabulary of economics, the skills necessary to understand and analyze current economic issues, and an appreciation of the economic system that has evolved in the U.S. and in much of the world today. Additionally, the course addresses the role of government in promoting efficiency and equity in the economy. While learning content, students will improve their reading and writing skills and will be encouraged to think critically.
