Hospitality, Tourism and Recreation
The Food Service and Hospitality pathway provides students with team-based workplace skills essential for today’s job market. The introductory course, Food & Nutrition, focuses on making high quality food choices and learning simple food preparation, while Culinary Arts equips students with advanced skills both in the kitchen and working with customers as service representatives. This pathway emphasizes the next steps after high school by creating relationships with community partners in higher education and employment opportunities. Students are active hands-on participants and have the opportunity to visit and meet potential schools and employers in the field while gaining valuable industry-recognized certificates.
