Coaches Clearance Requirements

Coaches play an important role in the lives of our student athletes. To ensure the safety and welfare of our student athletes, coaches are required to go through several training courses and certification to be eligible to coach at the San Mateo Union High School District.

Coaches Clearance Requirements:

  • Fingerprint clearance
  • Activity Supervisor Clearance Certificate (ASCC)
    • Renewed every 5 years
  • Payroll Packet
  • Tuberculosis Risk Assessment and/or Tuberculosis Test
    • Renewed every 4 years
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Certification (In-person skills session required)
    • Renewed every 2 years
  • First Aid Certification (In-person skills session required)
    • Renewed every 2 years
